Where can I find a free Antivirus software?


My PC is infected with viruses and spywares. What is the best Antivirus Software in the market now? Where can I find a free Antivirus program? Thanks

    You can scan online or download free Antivirus softwares. It is awesome.

    I use these programs to clean friends computers.
    It helps speed up the system and usually
    works every time unless there is some very unusual virus on the system.
    They are all free programs.

    1)Get spybot search and destroy, install, update and run.

    2)Get avgfree anti virus, install, update and run.

    3)Get windows defender antispyware, install, update and run.

    4)Get Avira antivirus, install update, and run(dont use both AVG and Avira, pick one)

    Just for the record, I have no connection to any of these companies.
    I just think they make good, free, and effective products.

    I’d strongly recommend AVG or Avast! Both are completely free and work well. However if you’re sure your computer is infected with a whole lot of stuff, you may be better off doing a complete reformat / reinstall of Windows.

    There isn’t a best AV that everyone agrees on, its all subjective. But Nod32 gets a lot of good talk, but it isnt free, though they do have a 30 day trial you can find here

    A few free antivirus programs are, - AVG - Anti Vir - Avast

    I have used both AVG and Avast, and I like them both.

    Kaspersky is good, but it’s not free. (About $70/year)

    I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.0 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
