The best blog software, preferably online and not a download? But either one’s good?

I want to start a professional looking blog and I would like to know which site people think is the best to use. Something online would be simpler but I’m not a’scared to download something either and tweak it out. And also what some good methods/resources are to drive traffic to it…marketing, advertising etc.

If you have examples/samples, that’d be great.

Cheers

Blogger and wordpress are easy to use. I myself use blogger.
There are 100s of free online blogs out there and a google search will reveal it all. modblog.com used to be really cool, but now they have major problems.
Blogging at yahoo seems a cool idea too.
