SAP is the world’s leading provider of business software – from distinct solutions addressing the needs of small and midsized businesses to enterprise scale suite applications for global organizations. It’s not a trend, it’s like the Microsoft Windows of the ERP world and is here to stay.
1. It take at least 3 months of intense training to learn SAP from scratch and reach a marketable level of knowledge.
2. The recommended module to specialise in SAP is the one that corresponds to ‘your’ area of specialty in the business world and what you have a passion for. (Eg: if you area is accounting, go for FI/CO and if your area is manufacturing, go for PP).
3. SAP makes you marketable as long as you have studies the right module and to the required level. (Eg: A business manager would be more marketable after being certified to user level while a systems analyst would require consultant level certification). Which one is cheaper or which one gives you the best return on investment is for you to decide.
