For good and FREE antivirus protection there are two - AVG Free and Avast.
For FREE anti-Spyware - Ad-Aware 2007 and Spybot Search and Destroy 1.5
AVG also has free anti spyware and antirootkit software.

Best free software for your anti virus/cleaner/anti spyware
Not the best (through, as in compared to payed protects)
And Commodo Firewall
AVG cannot be compared to Avast or Avira due to its flawed postitives and tests proves that it misses 20% or more of the time. : I can add more, like spyware Terminator, spyware blaster, however its not the Best Free ones.
This is only the recommanded free software (not pernamently effective for removing 95% + of trojans/malware/etc)

if you have the name of the spyware software you want to download, go to esnips.com, some people might have it for sharing so you can download it for free. of course you have to register in esnips first.

Your best bet is to always download the products you want directly from the creator’s own website-that way you can look for support such as FAQ’s, manuals, etc. in case you have questions on how to use the product.
