How do you determine what is deductible for start up taxes?
I am starting an online retail business and have bought market research tools and website building software. Also I just got a dba. My site is not yet published on the net.

what can i deduct as start up deductions?

Did getting a dba officially start my business?

What sort of time restrictions go along with start up tax? ( i
bought the software listed above in 07 and got the dba in 08)

I am trying to find a current and CORRECT market analysis of the jewelry business. I am starting an online jewelry store and this information will be part of the business plan, which I am writing myself.

I have tried local college libraries, pubic libraries, and am now trying the Internet but am only finding ads for custom software clamiing to do this for me, which I am not interested in purchasing or using.

Any ideas on how we can market our services to target customers will be most helpful. Who should we contact? Who can we partner with? How can we get help on the sales front (on a commission basis).
