I recently graduated from a very reputable engineering school with a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science. After landing my first real job, I have realized that coding is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have an extrovert personality and feel like my talents are best suited by being around other people instead of being trapped in a cube writing code. I have always considered getting my masters in something, however was never sure what degree would best suit my technological background. Would pursuing an MBA or getting a Masters of Marketing open up some career paths for someone with my background looking for more customer/social interaction as well as a higher paycheck in the long run? As a Software Engineer right out of college, I am making a lot more than many of my peers who studied business as an undergraduate, however I feel my talents are best suited in the business world. Any thoughts, opinions, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

(online), I have applied to University of Memphis to complete a Bachelor’s degree in international business or marketing. I am having second thoughts about my path now. Should I continue with a Bachelor’s in Information Technology or a more specific business fields? Shall I attend traditional campus or continue online? I have done it before, it’s great, but time consuming. For business traditional campus seems like a great idea. But if I continue with IT, then what better place to get the degree than online, where you are forced to deal with more software and the internet? The IT field is growing so fast and there are so many high paying jobs and new fields, but business has a proven success record with hard work. Hard work will, of course, always be necessary. But what field and end to a means is the most noteworthy and reasonable? Give me your opinion.
