I’m trying to find up to date information on Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) software market size. I would also like to find a market share breakdown. This is for a school paper so I’m not about to spend hundreds on an analyst report, but I do need to be able to cite a credible source. The most recent information I have yet been able to find is from 2002-2003, which is probably somewhat outdated given all the competition and mergers and acquisitions in the industry.

They will no longer market their online dial up services, and they are giving it all away for free. Even their security software and premium services potentially. The strategy is to concede defeat to broadband and free services by Yahoo/Google/MS and try to convert some of the brand loyalty into advertising dollars. Can they survive?

I’m student writing a seminar paper on Business Valuation using the market transaction approach.
Now I need to find some information on recent MA cases in Business Intelligence software industry.
But it turn out to be that it seems not that easy to get the data for free, I’m just a student and cannot afford for the subscription fee at big online databank.
Maybe somebody could tell me how to get such information for free. I tried to check out the recent news like Oracle acquired Hyperion, but it just take too much time and I need more detailed information on the financial side…

There are 2 software companies that announced an acquisition. I feel this limits the market for such software and would like to file a complaint requesting the FTC to investigate the matter before approving it. Is there a way to do this online? I looked at the FTC’s web site but didn’t find anything.

Global Recession is comming and 2008 is predected to be the worst year for US software market.If this becomes reality the impact on the other sectors is inevitable and the world economy is bound to crash.Are there any ways that this can be avoided?
