How do you determine what is deductible for start up taxes?
I am starting an online retail business and have bought market research tools and website building software. Also I just got a dba. My site is not yet published on the net.

Couple of questions…

what can i deduct as start up deductions?

Did getting a dba officially start my business?

What sort of time restrictions go along with start up tax? ( i
bought the software listed above in 07 and got the dba in 08)

what sort of reciepts should I be saving?

I know …I need an accountant!!! lol. PLEASE HELP!!! Quality info is needed! thanks!!!

I want to start a professional looking blog and I would like to know which site people think is the best to use. Something online would be simpler but I’m not a’scared to download something either and tweak it out. And also what some good methods/resources are to drive traffic to it…marketing, advertising etc.

If you have examples/samples, that’d be great.

My company distribute a newsletter (as a PDF attachment) weekly to our clients. Right now, we’re just putting their addresses in the bcc field. But, it has become a problem lately since a handful of our clients are not getting it. I can’t seem to pinpoint the problem since we’ve been using this method for years and it’s only become a problem in the last month.

All of the bulk mailing service I found online require us to use their templates and we cannot attach our own newsletter. Also, those service are geared towards marketing and we’re not interested in that.

Does anyone know of any good online service or software to distribute PDF newsletters to our clients? Preferably one that will have individual e-mail address show up in the to field.

Microsoft and Apple have always been competing. Apple is clearly the best in software and hardware. However, Apple’s problem is that Macs are often more expensive than many Windows machines. Microsoft’s huge advantage is that they have hundreds of PC, smartphone, and PlaysForSure makers and partners. To be able to build a computer yourself and have it run XP is another large advantage. My question is, who should Apple partner with to make their computers cheaper, more available, and a viable opponent for Windows?

I am a 20 year old college student i have been trying to learn the foreign exchange market for almost a year now. I have taken online classes through my broker also read a couple of books. I have also tried software. There is something that i am missing, i have tried all types of formulas in determing trades and i am never right. It seems as if I can make money on the practice account, but i lose money on my real account. It seems as if the market trades against me everytime. Can someone please help?
